Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of GeoDataFarm Pro, the paid add-on to the GeoDataFarm QGIS plugin, and your purchase of a GeoDataFarm Pro license. The free GeoDataFarm plugin itself is licensed separately under its own open-source license (see the GitHub repository these Terms cover only the paid Pro license.

GeoDataFarm is developed and provided by **Axel Horteborn**, an individual sole trader based in Sweden (“we”, “us”, “the developer”). You can reach us at geodatafarm@gmail.com.

Payment processing for GeoDataFarm Pro is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record for this purchase — meaning Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for billing, tax and payment-compliance purposes, and their own terms also apply to the checkout itself. See Lemon Squeezy’s Terms of Use for that part. We remain solely responsible for the GeoDataFarm Pro software and the service it provides.

A GeoDataFarm Pro purchase gives you a license key that unlocks the Crop simulation features (fertilizer-timing analysis, leaching-risk assessment, and the season yield estimate) inside the free GeoDataFarm QGIS plugin. It is:

– **Personal/business use**, non-exclusive, non-transferable — don’t  share your key or resell access to it.

– Activatable on a limited number of devices at a time (shown at checkout); deactivate an old device before activating a new one if  you’re at the limit.

– Tied to an active subscription — see “Billing” below.

GeoDataFarm Pro is billed as an annual subscription. Your card is charged the then-current price once a year until you cancel. You can cancel any time via the link in your purchase confirmation email or receipt, or by contacting us — your license stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and will not renew afterward.

Prices may change for future billing periods; we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify existing subscribers before a price change takes effect for them.

Don’t attempt to circumvent, share, or resell your license key, or otherwise use GeoDataFarm Pro in a way that isn’t reasonably personal or single-business use. We reserve the right to deactivate a key involved in clear abuse of this kind.

GeoDataFarm Pro’s crop simulation is a **planning aid**, not a certified agronomic recommendation, nitrogen balance, or yield guarantee. It’s grounded in published agronomic methods (FAO-56, FAO-33, and the other sources cited in the plugin’s own “Sources” page) applied to weather

forecasts and the data you provide, but every number it produces is a directional estimate, not a precise prediction — actual results depend on factors the model doesn’t and can’t account for (pests, disease, frost, soil variability, equipment performance, and more).

You are responsible for your own agronomic and business decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for crop loss, reduced yield, input costs, or any other loss or damage arising from decisions made using GeoDataFarm or GeoDataFarm Pro. The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or statutory consumer rights that can’t be waived).

GeoDataFarm Pro stores your farm data (fields, operations, weather, simulation settings) in a database you control — we don’t operate a central server that receives or stores your farm data. License activation sends your license key and a device identifier (your machine’s hostname) to Lemon Squeezy’s license-verification service, to check the key is valid; nothing else about your usage is transmitted to us or to Lemon Squeezy by GeoDataFarm Pro itself.

We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always the one published at this URL. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you’re entitled to under the law of your own country of residence.
